The Lord fell silent on Wednesday and Thursday until the evening, so that on that evening he would pour out his speech with the disciples and to the disciples - speech, the like of which there is nothing in all the scriptures, not only human, but also Divine. Now, according to the instructions of the Church, we hear only from the mouth of the Lord, so that they do not interfere with anointing Him with ointment, because this served as His preparation for death. Before His eyes there is already only death - the final mystery of His coming to earth for our salvation. Let us also delve into the contemplation of this mysterious death in order to extract from it the hope of salvation for our souls, burdened with many sins, and who do not know how to find peace for themselves from the anguish of an awakened conscience and the consciousness of the righteousness of God’s judgment over us, terrible and unwashed.
