“The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God” (Wis. 3:1). And in whose hand are the souls of sinners? The Savior told the apostles that Satan seeks to sow them like wheat, that is, he seeks to lead them astray from the right path, take them into his own hands and do with them whatever he wants. Therefore, all those who deviate from the Lord are in the hands of Satan, and he sows them and throws them wherever he wants. That’s why sinners’ heads are constantly spinning because the enemy, shaking them back and forth, does not allow them to come to their senses; even as soon as he notices that someone is beginning to come to his senses, he begins to shake him even more, so that his head becomes clouded again and his thoughts scatter.
