(Heb. 3:12–16; Mark 1:35–44) “(Jesus) went out and withdrew into a deserted place and there he prayed” (Mark 1:35). The Lord prays as a man, or, better, as one incarnated by human nature. His prayer is intercessory for us, and at the same time educational for His humanity, which was to enter in a limited way into the possession of the Divine. In the latter sense, she is a model and example for us. The Apostle Paul teaches that among those who have received the Spirit, the Spirit prays and, of course, not on its own, but by arousing prayerful aspirations to God in the human spirit. And here we have real prayer – spiritually moving prayer. But that’s how it is at the top level. The path to it is through prayerful work for those seeking purification and sanctification. Solitude, night - the most suitable environment for this work; the work itself is a lot of bows with heartfelt sighs. Work and work, driving away all laziness.
