(Heb. 11:8, 11–16; Mark 9:33–41) The Savior sets a child as a model of faith and life. Simplicity of faith gives birth to simplicity of life; From both of them comes an exemplary moral system. Let the thinking in here - it will create discord inside and, under the guise of a better arrangement of affairs, it will upset your whole life. Cleverness is always twisted: “this is not so, the other is not that way; let me arrange everything in a new way; the old thing is no good, it’s boring.” But it has never created anything good anywhere, but only upsets everything. The mind should obey what is commanded by the Lord. True, he is called a king in his head, but this king is not given legislative power, but only executive power. As soon as he begins to legislate, he will pile up who knows what, and upset the moral, religious, everyday, and political orders; everything will go upside down. It is a great misfortune for society when the mind is given freedom to soar without being restrained by Divine truth! This is the wrath of God. It is said about him: “hide yourself a little, until the end passes by” *37 (Is. 26:20). In this midst of mental waywardness, it is best to take refuge in the simplicity of faith. Just as during a storm it is better to stay at home and not go out in arrogance to fight it; Likewise, during times of violent self-indulgence, it is better not to go out to fight it and not to grab the weapon of reasoning in order to resist it. Simplicity of faith is stronger than speculation; put on it as armor (1 Thessalonians 5:8), and you will stand. “Hide for a moment until the anger passes.” You might be interested in:
