(Gal. 5, 22–6:2; Luke 10, 19–21) “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You hid these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for such was Your good pleasure” (Luke 10:21). This is the judgment of human wisdom and rationality. And it is apparently being fulfilled. Revelation is now before our eyes in the Divine Scriptures, and wise men read it, but do not understand it. One must be amazed: it is written simply, but to them everything there does not seem to be as it is written; as if it had blinded them. Babies see and understand; but for them what is revealed is hidden. It pleased the Heavenly Father to establish such an order; therefore, there is no point in arguing. If what was essential had not been discovered at all, then the wise men might still object; otherwise it’s open - come and take it, then it’s open for you to take it: just become a baby. - “How – me?.. No way!” - Well, as you wish; and remain wise and reasonable, however, not understanding anything essentially necessary and not containing it in your head, wandering among the ghosts and illusions generated by your cleverness and keeping you in complete blindness, according to which you think that you are sighted, but you are “blind, damn it” *31 (2 Pet. 1:9), i.e. you see something as if through thick darkness. But this does not show you the real path and does not lead you to the goal, but only keeps you in an endless circle of self-delusion. Deliver us, Lord, from such a terrible state!
