(Gal. 3, 8–12; Luke 9, 57–62) “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62). That is, whoever thinks to be saved, and meanwhile looks back at what he must give up in order to be saved, is not saved, does not go, is not directed to the Kingdom of God. It is necessary to finally resolve everything that is incompatible with the work of salvation. Those who are planning to save themselves see this themselves, but parting with some attachments is still put off until tomorrow. Suddenly breaking everything seems too big a sacrifice. They want to give up gradually, so that it doesn’t catch the attention of others, and they almost always lose. Saving orders are established, but the dispositions of the heart remain the same. At first the incongruity is very sharp: but “tomorrow” and the promised change block the lips of conscience. Thus, everything is tomorrow and tomorrow - conscience gets tired of interpreting everything the same and, finally, falls silent. And then thoughts begin to come that we can leave it this way. These thoughts grow stronger and then become established forever. A face appears that is outwardly serviceable, but with an internal malfunction. This is a painted coffin before the eyes of God. The main problem is that the conversion of such people can be just as difficult as those who have become hardened in open sins, if not even more difficult... But it seems that everything is fine.
