I wanted to see and looked for an opportunity to do so, but was not worthy, because I was looking not for faith and salvation, but out of empty curiosity. Inquisitiveness is a tickling of the mind; It is not the truth that is dear to her, but news and especially spectacular news. That is why she is often not satisfied with the truth itself, but seeks something special among it, and having invented this special thing, she dwells on it and attracts others to it. The truth here becomes backwards, and in front stands its own fiction. This is the way of the German mind these days. The Germans are obsessed with making things up. The entire area of ​​God's truth was covered, as if with fog, by their inventions. Take even dogmas, even moral teaching, even history, even the word of God - everything is so cluttered with inventions that you won’t even get to the truth of God. Meanwhile, they are interested in them, and those who are of the same mood as them. The truth of God is simple; Is it a proud mind to engage in it? He'd better invent his own. It is impressive, although empty and weak, like a spider’s web. That this is so, look at the current theories of the universe: they resemble the delirium of a sleepy or intoxicated person. And how good inventors seem! How much effort and time is spent on this - and all in vain! The matter was accomplished simply: “speech, and bysha; commanded, and it was created” (Ps. 33:9).
