(2 Cor. 5:10–15; Mark 1:9–15) The Lord began His sermon like this: “the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent and believe in the Gospel” (Mark 1:15). At the end of the centuries it will also be said: “the time is fulfilled, the Kingdom is at hand”; but what will be added is not “repent and believe,” but “go to judgment.” The time of repentance and labors of self-correction is over; give every account of what you have done with your body, good or evil. So, while there is still time, hurry to use it to your salvation. The Father's arms are open to receive all those who come with a sincere feeling of contrition for the past, and with the desire to work for God in the future by diligently fulfilling the commandments of His saints. For each of us, the end of the century is death: it is the door to another life. Look at it more often and more accurately determine for yourself: what next? - and having determined without pitying yourself, set to work in order to prepare what is unready for entering where there is endless joy, and for removing everything that could give the right to the servants of pitch darkness to dominate us and drag us into their own area, from where there will be no way out.
