(Acts 27:1–44; John 17:18–26) “As You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, so that they also may be one in us... I in them, and You in Me” (John 17:21). Here is the golden chain connecting us with the Divine! We fell away - the Mediator, who is one with God the Father, arose and became one with us. By becoming one with Him, we are united in Him and through Him with God the Father. Glory to Your boundless mercy to us, Triple-Hypostatic God, who has deigned to arrange for us such a bright path to deification! The Lord lifts us high; do not deny the good deed, confess the mercy and praise the ineffable goodness! Denying such heights, you think to humble yourself, but in reality you reveal gross ingratitude and neglect of the high gift. Know that there is no middle ground: it’s either all or nothing. If you don’t want this height, you will remain outside in bitter humiliation, both temporarily and forever. You might be interested in:
