(Acts 10:44–11:10; John 8:21–30) They asked the Lord: “Who are you?” He answered: “He was from the beginning” (John 8:25). He is in front, behind Him are the Holy Apostles, behind the Apostles are shepherds and teachers and the entire Church of Christ. Judge now who are the real leaders. Because so many people have been following them for so long and will continue to follow them, they do not cease to be at the forefront, for they are still ahead, and all others follow them. And so we already have advanced Christians; and if anyone attempts to expose new leaders, it is clear that they must be understood as advanced in the opposite direction, that is, on the path that leads to the bottom of hell. There is nothing to add to this: beware - for who is your own enemy? Just try to understand this in a real way and hold fast to the known truth of Christ, and let them repeat theirs.
