79. Подданный, нарушающий закон перед своим царем

If someone were so bold that he began to break the law before his King, please tell me, man, tell me, would such a disorderly person not do a great insult and annoyance to his monarch and would not incite him to righteous anger? The monarch would truly consider such a thing a great dishonor and would be righteously angry with that lawbreaker. Christians! We all walk and live before God, the King of heaven and earth, Omnipresent and All-Seeing. And everything that we do, think and say, we do, think and say before His holy eyes, although we do not see Him. Thus His holy word assures us. Every wicked man destroys His holy law before Him. Every blasphemer blasphemes His holy and terrible name before Him. Every liar swears in a lie before Him by His holy and terrible name, and calls upon His great name in a lie before Him. Every villain and murderer kills a person before Him. Every fornicator, adulterer and lover of uncleanness is wicked before Him. Every thief, predator and robber is brought before Him by His law: “Thou shalt not steal.” Every slanderer, scolder, harasser, reproacher, foul-mouthed and blasphemer commits iniquity before Him. Everyone who plots or thinks evil and evil in his heart, plots before Him, for God sees our heart and our thoughts. What annoyance and insult to our Creator could be greater than this? Oh, how many enemies of God there are in the world, not only those who do not know Him, but also those who think that He is revered and boast of His holy faith! Truly, the enemy of God is not only the one who spews out obvious blasphemies against His holy name, but also the one who fearlessly dares to sin. All such say in their hearts: “The Lord will not see, neither will the God of Jacob know our deeds.” Come to your senses, you foolish people, and finally understand. Doesn't he who plugs the ear hear? And does not the creator of the eye see? * (Ps.93:7-9). Oh, a man who is called by a Christian name, but does the same thing with idolaters. You confess God, but in your deeds you stand apart from Him. You honor the name of God, but by breaking God’s law you dishonor Him! Please look around what you are like before God, and what, to what end, evil behavior is leading you. Look around before death befalls you, and you go away to receive your deeds. God has been patient and patient with you, waiting for your repentance, but whether He will tolerate you in the future is unknown. The Lord is good and merciful, but also righteous. Those who convert and repent will recognize His mercy, but unrepentant sinners will experience His righteous judgment for themselves. Turn and repent - and may you not recognize His righteous judgment, and moreover, may you be rewarded with His mercy. “Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy, and according to the multitude of Your compassions, cleanse away my iniquity” (Ps. 50:3).
