The earth is a place of exile, exile... But the Lord is so infinitely loving that even in this place of exile He left us many beauties, much joy and consolation, which are especially understood by natures with the so-called artistic flair. These beauties of this world are only a hint of the beauty with which the primordial world was filled, as Adam and Eve saw it. That beauty was damaged by the sin of the first people. Imagine a wonderful statue of a great master, and suddenly they hit it with a butt. What will be left of her? Shards. We can pick them up, find the neck, part of the face, arms. Signs of beauty are preserved in these individual fragments, but the former harmony, integrity, and former beauty of a statue that has not yet been destroyed can no longer be regained. So the falling away of the first people from God destroyed the beauty of God’s world, leaving us with only fragments by which we can judge how beautiful everything was before. But the time of a global catastrophe will come, the whole world will burn in flames. The earth will light up, the sun, and the moon - everything will burn, everything will disappear, and a new world will reign, much more beautiful than the one that the first people saw. And then eternal joy will come, full of bliss in Christ. It is this blessed life that the human soul now yearns for on earth. There is a legend that before a person is born into the world, his soul sees those heavenly beauties, and having moved into the body of an earthly person, it continues to yearn for these beauties...
