Откровение святого Иоанна Богослова

1. The revelation of Jesus Christ, what God had given Him, to show His servants what must soon take place. And he showed it by sending it through His angel to His servant John.
And this one testified the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, and what he saw.
Blessed is he who honors and hears the words of this prophecy, and keeps what is written in it; for the time is near.
John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace and peace to you from the one who is, and the one who was, and the one to come, and from the seven spirits who are before His throne,
and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and ruler of the kings of the earth; To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins with His Blood,
And to Him who made us kings and priests to His God and Father, glory and power forever and ever! Amen.
Behold, He comes with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the families of the earth will mourn before Him. Hey, amen.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, says the Lord, Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
I John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and in the kingdom and in the patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
I was in the spirit on Sunday and heard behind me a loud voice, like a trumpet, saying: I am Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last;
write what you see in a book and send it to the churches that are in Asia: to Ephesus and Smyrna and Pergamum and Thyatira and Sardis and Philadelphia and Laodicea.
I turned to see whose voice was speaking to me; and turning he saw seven golden lampstands,
and in the midst of the seven lampstands one like the Son of man, clothed with a robe 43 and girded around the chest with a golden girdle:
His head and hair are white, like white wool, like snow; and His eyes are like a flame of fire;
and His feet were like the sound of many waters;
He held in His right hand seven stars, and from His mouth came a sword sharp on both sides, and His face was like the sun, shining in its power.
And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if dead. And He laid His right hand on me and said to me: Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last
and Alive; and he was dead, and behold, he is alive forever and ever, Amen; and I have the keys of hell and death.
So write what you saw, and what is, and what will happen after this.
The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in My right hand, and these seven golden lamps: the seven stars are the Angels of the seven churches; and the seven lamps that you saw are seven churches.
2. Write to the angel of the church of Ephesus: thus says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:
I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and that you cannot endure the depraved, and I have tested those who call themselves apostles, but they are not, and you have found that they are liars;
You have endured much and have patience, and for My name you have labored and have not fainted.
But I have this against you, that you left your first love.
Remember therefore from whence you fell, and repent, and do the first works; if not so, I will quickly come to you and remove your lamp from its place, unless you repent.
But the good thing about you is that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
Let him who has an ear hear what the Spirit says to the churches: To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
And write to the Angel of the Church of Smyrna: Thus says the First and the Last, He who was dead and behold is alive:
I know your deeds, and sorrow, and poverty (however, you are rich), and I know slander, and how they say about themselves that they are Jews, but they are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Do not be afraid of anything that you will have to endure. Behold, the devil will cast you from among you into prison to tempt you, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.
He who has an ear (to hear), let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches: He who overcomes will not be harmed by the second death.
And write to the Angel of the Church of Pergamum: This is what he who has a sword sharp on both sides says:
I know your works, and that you live where the throne of Satan is, and that you uphold My name, and did not renounce My faith even in those days when among you, where Satan lives, My faithful witness Antipas was killed.
But I have a few things against you, because you have some there who hold the teachings of Balaam, just as he taught Balak to lead the children of Israel into temptation, so that they would eat things sacrificed to idols and commit fornication.
So you also have those who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans, but I hate it.
Repent; If not, I will come to you quickly and fight with them with the sword of My mouth.
Let him who has an ear (to hear) hear what the Spirit says to the churches: To him who overcomes I will give to eat the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows except the one who receives.
And write to the Angel of the Church of Thyatira: Thus says the Son of God, Who has eyes like a flame of fire and feet like chalcolivan:
I know your works, and love, and service, and faith, and your patience, and that your last works are greater than your first.
But I have a little against you, that you allow the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and mislead My servants to commit fornication and eat things sacrificed to idols.
I gave her time to repent of her fornication, but she did not repent.
Behold, I cast her into a bed, and those who commit adultery with her into great sorrow, unless they repent of their deeds;
And I will smite her children with death, and they will understand; all the churches, that I am the one who searches the hearts and bowels and will reward each of you according to your deeds.
But to you and to the others who are in Thyatira, those who do not hold this teaching and do not know the depths of Satan that are reputed among people, I say that I will not impose another burden on you;
Just hold on to what you have until I come.
Whoever overcomes and keeps My works to the end, to him will I give authority over the Gentiles,
and he will rule them with a rod of iron; like earthen vessels they will be broken, just as I received power from my Father;
and I will give him the morning star.
He who has an ear (to hear), let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
3. And write to the angel of the Sardis church: Thus says he who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your works; you have a name like you're alive, but you're dead.
Stay awake and establish other things close to death; for I do not find that your works are perfect before My God.
Remember what you received and heard, and keep and repent. If you do not watch, then I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you.
But you have a few people in Sardis who have not defiled their clothes, and they will walk with Me in white robes, for they are worthy.
He who overcomes will be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
And write to the Angel of the Philadelphian Church: Thus says the Holy One, the True One, who has the key of David: He will open and no one will shut; He will shut and no one will open:
I know your affairs; Behold, I have opened a door before you, and no one can shut it; You have little strength, and you have kept My word and have not denied My name.
Behold, I will cause those who are from the synagogue of Satan, those who say about themselves that they are Jews, but are not such, but lie, - I will cause that they will come and worship before your feet, and will understand that I have loved you.
And just as you have kept the word of My patience, I will also keep you from the hour of temptation that will come to the whole world to test those who live on earth.
Behold, I am coming quickly; Hold on to what you have, so that no one takes your crown.
He who overcomes will I make a pillar in the church of My God, and he will no longer go out; And I will write on it the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.
And write to the angel of the Laodicean church: thus says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:
I know your affairs; you are neither cold nor hot; Oh, if only you were cold or hot!
But because you are warm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.
For you say: “I am rich, I have become rich, and I have need of nothing”; but you don’t know that you are unhappy and pitiful, and poor and blind and naked.
I advise you to buy from Me gold purified by fire, so that you may become rich, and white clothing, so that you may be clothed and so that the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and anoint your eyes with eye salve so that you can see.
Those whom I love, I rebuke and punish. So be zealous and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
To him who overcomes I will give to sit with Me on My throne, just as I also overcame and sat with My Father on His throne.
4. After this I saw, behold, a door was opened in heaven, and the first voice that I heard like the sound of a trumpet spoke to me, saying, Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.
And immediately I became in spirit; and behold, a throne stood in heaven, and He sat on the throne;
and this Seated One looked like a jasper and sardis stone; and a rainbow around the throne, similar in appearance to emerald.
And around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and I saw twenty-four elders sitting on the thrones: they were dressed in white robes and had golden crowns on their heads.
And from the throne came lightning and thunder and voices, and seven lamps of fire burned before the throne, and these are the seven spirits of God;
and before the throne was a sea of glass, like crystal; and in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind:
and the first living creature was like a lion, and the second living creature was like a calf, and the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.
And each of the four animals had six wings around, and inside they were full of eyes; and they have no rest day or night, crying out: holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.
And when the animals give glory and honor and thanksgiving to Him who sits on the throne, Who lives forever and ever,
then the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and lay down their crowns before the throne, saying:
You are worthy, Lord, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created everything, and everything exists and was created by Your will.
5. And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne, a book written within and without, sealed with seven seals.
And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice: Who is worthy to open this book and to open its seals?
And no one could, neither in heaven, nor on earth, nor under the earth, open this book, nor look into it.
And I cried a lot because no one was found worthy to open and read this book, or even look into it.
And one of the elders said to me: do not cry; Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome and is able to open this book and open its seven seals.
And I saw, behold, in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, standing a Lamb as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, and these are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
And He came and took the book from the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.
And when He took the book, then the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp and golden bowls full of incense, and these are the prayers of the saints;
and they sing a new song, saying: You are worthy to receive the book and to open the seals from it, for You were slain, and with Your Blood you redeemed us to God from every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
and make us kings and priests to our God; and we will reign on the earth.
And I saw and heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders, and their number was ten thousand ten thousand, and thousands upon thousands,
and with a loud voice they cried: Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and wealth, and wisdom and strength, and honor and glory and blessing.
And every creature that was in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and everything that was in them, I heard saying: To him that sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.
And the four animals cried out: Amen. And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever.
6. And I saw the Lamb open the first of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say as with a voice of thunder, Come and see.
I looked, and behold, a white horse, and a rider on it had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he went out victorious and to victory.
And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second animal say, Come and see.
And another red horse came out; and to him that sat on it was given power to take peace from the earth, and let them kill one another; and a great sword was given to him.
And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, Come and see. I looked, and behold, a black horse, and a rider on it, and a measure in his hand.
And I heard a voice among the four living creatures: 44 quinixes of wheat for a denarius, 45 and three quinixes of barley for a denarius; Do not damage the oil or wine.
And when He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature: Come and see.
And I looked, and behold, a pale horse, and its rider, and his name was Death; and hell followed him, and power was given to him over the fourth part of the earth - to kill with the sword and hunger and pestilence and the beasts of the earth.
And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who were killed for the word of God and for the testimony that was from them.
And they cried out with a great voice: How long, O Lord, Holy and True, do you not judge and take revenge on those who live on the earth for our blood?
And white robes were given to each of them, and they were told to rest still for a little while, until their fellow servants and their brothers, who would be killed like them, were added to the number.
And when He opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became dark as sackcloth, and the moon became like blood;
and the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree, shaken by a strong wind, drops its unripe figs;
and the sky was hidden, rolled up like a scroll; and every mountain and island moved from their places;
and the kings of the earth, and the great, and the rich, and the captains of thousands, and the mighty, and every slave and every free man, hid themselves in caves and in the ravines of the mountains,
and they cried out to the mountains and stones: Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb;
For the great day of His wrath has come, and who can stand?
7. And after this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that the wind would not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
And I saw another angel rising from the east of the sun and having the seal of the living God. And he exclaimed with a loud voice to the four Angels, to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea:
Do not harm the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.
And I heard the number of those who were sealed: those who were sealed were one hundred and forty-four thousand from all the tribes of the children of Israel.
Of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Nephalim twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed;
from the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed; Of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
After this I saw, behold, a great multitude of people, which no one could number, from all nations and tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes and with palm branches in their hands.
And they cried out with a great voice: Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!
And all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
saying: Amen! blessing and glory, and wisdom and thanksgiving, and honor and strength and strength to our God forever and ever! Amen.
And, having begun his speech, one of the elders asked me: who are these dressed in white robes and where did they come from?
I told him: you know, Lord. And he said to me: these are they that came out of the great tribulation; they washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb;
therefore they now remain before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His church, and He who sits on the throne will dwell in them;
they will no longer hunger or thirst, and the sun and no heat will burn them:
for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will feed them and lead them to living springs of water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
8. And when He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven, as if for half an hour.
And I saw seven angels standing before God; and seven trumpets were given to them.
And another angel came and stood before the altar, holding a golden censer; and a great deal of incense was given to him, so that with the prayers of all the saints he would place it on the golden altar, before the throne.
And the smoke of incense ascended with the prayers of the saints from the hand of an Angel before God.
And the Angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it to the ground: and there arose voices and thunder and lightning and an earthquake.
And the seven Angels, holding the seven trumpets, prepared to sound the trumpet.
The first angel sounded, and hail and fire appeared, mixed with blood, and fell to the earth; and the third part of the trees was burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
The second angel sounded his trumpet, and as if a great mountain, burning with fire, was cast into the sea; and the third part of the sea became blood,
and the third part of the living creatures that lived in the sea died, and the third part of the ships perished.
The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a lamp, and fell on a third of the rivers, and on the springs of water;
The name of this star is wormwood; and a third of the waters became wormwood, and many of the people died from the waters, because they became bitter.
The fourth angel sounded, and a third part of the sun and a third part of the moon and a third part of the stars were struck, so that a third part of them was darkened, and a third part of the day was not light, just like the nights.
And I saw and heard one Angel flying in the middle of heaven, and he cried out with a great voice: Woe, woe to those who live on earth from the remaining trumpet voices of the three Angels, which will blow!
9. The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven to earth, and the key to the pit of the abyss was given to it:
She opened the pit of the deep, and smoke came out of the pit, like smoke from a great furnace: and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit.
And out of the smoke came locusts onto the earth, and they were given the power that the scorpions of the earth have.
And she was told not to harm the grass of the earth, or any greenery, or any tree, but only to people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
And she was given not to kill them, but only to torture them for five months; and her torment is like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a person.
In those days people will seek death, but will not find it; they will wish to die, but death will flee from them.
In appearance, the locusts were like horses prepared for war; and on her heads there were crowns like gold, and her faces were like human faces;
and her hair was like the hair of women, and her teeth were like those of lions;
she had armor on her, like iron armor, and the noise from her wings was like the sound of chariots when many horses run to war;
she had tails like scorpions, and in her tails were stings; Her power was to harm people for five months.
She had the angel of the abyss as her king; His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek Apollyon 46.
One grief has passed; behold, two more sorrows are following him.
The sixth angel sounded, and I heard one voice from the four horns of the golden altar that stands before God,
and he said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet: release the four angels bound by the great river Euphrates.
And four Angels were released, prepared for an hour and a day, and a month and a year, in order to kill the third part of people.
The number of cavalry troops was two thousand; and I heard his number.
So in a vision I saw horses and their riders, who had armor of fire, hyacinth and brimstone on them: the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions, and from their mouths came fire, smoke and brimstone.
From these three plagues, from the fire, smoke and brimstone coming out of their mouths, the third part of the people died;
for the strength of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails; and their tails were like snakes and had heads, and with them they did harm.
Other people who did not die from these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons and gold, silver, copper, stone and wooden idols, which could neither see, nor hear, nor walk;
and they did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their theft.
10. And I saw another mighty angel descending from heaven, clothed with a cloud; over his head was a rainbow, and his face was like the sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire,
he had an open book in his hand; and he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,
and he cried out with a great voice, like a lion roars; and when he cried, then the seven thunders cried out with their voices.
And when the seven thunders cried out with their voices, I wanted to write; but I heard a voice from heaven to me: hide what the seven thunders said, and do not write it.
And the Angel, whom I saw standing on the sea and on the earth, raised his hand to heaven
and he swore by Him who lives forever and ever, Who created the heavens and all that is in it, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, that time would be no more;
but in those days when the seventh angel proclaims, when he blows the trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, as He preached to His servants the prophets.
And the voice that I heard from heaven again spoke to me with this word: go, take the open book from the hand of the Angel standing on the sea and on the earth.
And I went to the Angel and told him: give me the book. He said to me: take it and eat it; she will be bitter in your belly, but in your mouth she will be sweet as honey.
And I took the book from the Angel’s hand and ate it; and she was as sweet as honey in my mouth; When I ate it, my stomach became bitter.
And he said to me: You must prophesy again about peoples and nations and languages and many kings.
11. And a reed like a rod was given to me, and it was said: Arise and measure the church of God and the altar, and those who worship in it;
but exclude the outer court of the church and do not measure it; for it was given to the Gentiles: they will trample on the holy city for forty-two months.
And He gave unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth.
And if anyone wants to offend them, fire will come out of their mouth and devour their enemies; if anyone wants to offend them, he must be killed,
They have the power to shut the heavens so that no rain falls on the earth in the days of their prophecy, and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood and to smite the earth with every plague whenever they want.
And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes out of the abyss will fight with them and defeat them and kill them
and their corpses will be left on the streets of the great city, which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord was crucified.
And many of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their corpses for three and a half days and will not allow their corpses to be placed in graves.
And those who live on the earth will rejoice and be glad, and will send gifts to each other, because these two prophets tormented those who live on the earth.
But after three and a half days the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they both stood on their feet; and great fear fell on those who looked at them.
And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended into heaven on a cloud, and their enemies looked at them.
And at that same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell, and seven thousand names of men perished in the earthquake; and the others were overcome with fear and gave glory to the God of Heaven.
The second grief passed; behold, the third grief is coming soon.
And the seventh Angel sounded his trumpet, and great voices were heard in heaven: the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and His Christ, and will reign forever and ever.
And the twenty-four elders, sitting on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God,
crying: We thank You, Lord God Almighty, Who art, and who was, and who is to come, that You have received Your great power and reigned;
and the pagans became furious; and Your wrath has come and the time to judge the dead and to give retribution to Your servants, the prophets and saints and those who fear Your name, small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.
And the church of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant appeared in His church; and there were lightnings and voices and thunders and an earthquake and great hail.
12. And a great sign appeared in heaven - a woman clothed with the sun; under her feet is the moon, and on her head is a crown of twelve stars;
she was in her womb and groaned from the pains and pangs of birth.
And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven crowns;
His tail carried away a third of the stars from the sky and threw them to the ground. This dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth, he would devour her baby.
And she gave birth to a male child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and His throne.
And the wife fled into the desert, where a place had been prepared for her by God, so that they would feed her there for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought against them,
but they did not resist, and there was no longer a place for them in heaven.
And the great dragon was cast out, that ancient serpent, called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world, he was cast out to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
And I heard a loud voice in heaven: Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ have come, because the slanderer of our brethren, who slandered them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and did not love their souls even to death.
So rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! Woe to those who live on earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great rage, knowing that he does not have much time left.
When the dragon saw that he had been thrown to the ground, he began to pursue the wife, who gave birth to a male child.
And the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, so that she would fly into the desert to her place from the face of the serpent and there she would be fed for a time, times and half a time.
And the serpent sent water like a river out of his mouth after his wife, in order to carry her away with the river.
But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river that the dragon had let out of his mouth.
And the dragon was angry with the woman and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
13. And I stood on the sand of the sea and saw a beast coming out of the sea with seven heads and ten horns: on his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads were names of blasphemy.
The beast I saw was like a leopard; His legs are like those of a bear, and his mouth is like the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave him his strength and his throne and great authority.
And I saw that one of his heads seemed to be mortally wounded, but this mortal wound was healed. And all the earth marveled, watching the beast; and they worshiped the dragon who gave power to the beast,
and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like this beast, and who can fight with him?
And a mouth was given to him speaking proudly and blasphemously, and authority was given to him to continue for forty-two months.
And he opened his mouth to blaspheme God, to blaspheme His name and His habitation and those who dwell in heaven.
And it was given to him to make war with the saints and defeat them; and authority was given to him over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
And all who dwell on earth will worship him, whose names were not written in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain from the foundation of the world.
He who has an ear, let him hear.
He who leads into captivity will himself go into captivity; whoever kills with the sword must himself be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and faith of the saints.
And I saw another beast coming out of the earth; he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.
He acts before him with all the power of the first beast and forces the whole earth and those living on it to worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed;
and performs great signs, so that fire comes down from heaven to earth before people.
And with the miracles that it was given to him to perform before the beast, he deceives those who live on the earth, telling those who live on the earth to make an image of the beast, which has the wound of the sword and lives.
And it was given to him to put spirit into the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would speak and act in such a way that anyone who would not worship the image of the beast would be killed.
And he will cause everyone - small and great, rich and poor, free and slave - to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead.
And that no one will be able to buy or sell except he who has this mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. He who has intelligence, count the number of the beast, for it is a human number; its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
14. And I saw, behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him an hundred and forty-four thousand, having the name of His Father written on their foreheads.
And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of great thunder; and I heard the voice of harpists playing on their harps:
they sing, as it were, a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn this song except these hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.
These are those who have not defiled themselves with their wives, for they are virgins; these are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They are redeemed from among men, as the firstborn to God and to the Lamb,
and in their mouth there is no guile; they are blameless before the throne of God.
And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, and he had the everlasting gospel to preach to them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people;
and he said with a loud voice: Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come, and worship Him who made heaven and earth, and the sea and springs of water.
And another angel followed him, saying: Babylon is fallen, is fallen, the great city, because she made all nations drink of the wrathful wine of her fornication.
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice: Whoever worships the beast and his image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,
he will drink the wine of the wrath of God, the whole wine prepared for the cup of His wrath, and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb;
and the smoke of their torment will ascend forever and ever, and they who worship the beast and his image and who receive the mark of his name will have no rest, day or night.
Here is the patience of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and the faith in Jesus.
And I heard a voice to me from heaven: write: From now on blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. To her, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labors, and their works will follow them.
And I saw, behold, a bright cloud, and on the cloud sat one like the Son of Man; on his head is a golden crown, and in his hand is a sharp sickle.
And another angel came out of the church and exclaimed with a great voice to him who sat on the cloud: put out your sickle and reap, because the time of harvest has come; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
And he who sat on the cloud cast his sickle into the earth, and the earth was reaped.
And another angel came out of the church that is in heaven, also with a sharp sickle.
And another angel, who had power over fire, came out from the altar and with a great voice cried to him who had the sharp sickle: Let out your sharp sickle and prune the bunches of grapes on the ground, because the berries are ripe on it.
And the angel cast his sickle on the ground and cut off the grapes on the ground and threw them into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
And the berries were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress even to the horse's bridles for one thousand six hundred furlongs.
15. And I saw another sign in heaven, great and wonderful - seven Angels having the seven last plagues, with which the wrath of God ended.
And I saw, as it were, a sea of glass mixed with fire; and they that conquered the beast, and his image, and the mark of him, and the number of his name, stand on that sea of glass. holding the harp of God,
and they sing this song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: Great and wonderful are Your works, O Lord God Almighty! righteous and true are Your ways, King of saints!
Who will not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy: all nations will come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been revealed.
And after this I saw: behold, the church of the tabernacle of testimony in heaven was opened,
and seven angels came out of the church, having seven plagues, clothed in clean and light linen clothing and girded around their chests with golden belts.
And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives forever.
And the church was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one could enter the church until the seven plagues of the seven angels had passed away.
16. And I heard a loud voice from the church calling to the seven angels: go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.
The first angel went and poured out his cup on the ground: and cruel and disgusting purulent wounds appeared on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his image.
The second angel poured out his cup into the sea: and blood appeared as from a dead man, and everything that had life died in the sea.
The third angel poured out his cup into the rivers and springs of water: and they became blood.
And I heard the Angel of the waters proclaim: You are righteous, O Lord, Who art and were, and holy, for thus You have judged;
Because they shed the blood of saints and prophets, You gave them blood to drink: they are worthy of it.
And I heard another voice from the altar: Yea, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Thy judgments.
The fourth angel poured out his cup on the sun, and it was given to him to burn people with fire.
And the intense heat burned the people, and they blasphemed the name of God, who has power over these plagues, and did not come to their senses to give Him glory.
The fifth angel poured out his cup on the throne of the beast: and his kingdom became dark, and they bit their tongues in pain,
and they blasphemed the God of Heaven from their sufferings and their wounds, and did not repent of their deeds.
The sixth angel poured out his bowl into the great river Euphrates: and the water in it dried up, so that the way for the kings would be ready from the rising of the sun.
And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs:
these are demonic spirits performing signs; they go out to the kings of the earth throughout the universe to gather them for battle on that great day of God Almighty.
Behold, I come like a thief: blessed is he who watches and keeps his clothes, lest he walk naked, and lest they see his shame.
And he gathered them to a place called in Hebrew Armageddon.
The seventh angel poured out his cup into the air: and from the church of heaven a loud voice was heard from the throne, saying: “It is finished!”
And there were lightnings, thunders, and voices, and there was a great earthquake, such as had not happened since there had been people on earth. Oh, what an earthquake! how great!
And the great city was broken into three parts, and the cities of the heathen fell, and Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the wrath of His wrath.
And every island fled, and the mountains were gone;
and hail the size of a talent fell from heaven on the people, and the people blasphemed God for the plagues from the hail, for great was its plague.
17. And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and turned to me and said to me: Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters;
The kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and those who dwell on the earth were drunk with the wine of her fornication.
And he led me in spirit into the desert; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, adorned with gold, precious stones and pearls, and had a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominations and the uncleanness of her fornication;
and on her forehead was written a name: mystery, Babylon the great, mother of harlots and abominations of the earth.
I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and the blood of the witnesses of Jesus, and, seeing her, I was amazed with great surprise.
And the Angel said to me: Why are you marveling? I will tell you the secret of this woman and of the beast that bears her, which has seven heads and ten horns.
The beast that you saw was and is not, and will come out of the abyss and go to destruction; and those living on earth, whose names were not written in the book of life from the beginning of the world, will be surprised, seeing that the beast was, and is not, and will appear.
Here is a mind that has wisdom. The seven heads are the seven mountains. on which the wife sits,
and seven kings, of whom five have fallen, one is, but the other has not yet come, and when he comes, he will not be long.
And the beast that was and is not, is the eighth, and from among the seven, and will go to destruction.
And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received the kingdom, but will take power with the beast as kings for one hour.
They have the same thoughts and will transfer their strength and power to the beast;
they will lead and take with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings; and those who are with Him are called and chosen and faithful.
And he says to me: The waters that you saw, where the harlot sits, are people and peoples and nations and tongues.
And the ten horns that you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh, and will burn her with fire,
for God put it on their hearts to fulfill His will, to fulfill His one will, and to give their kingdom to the beast until the words of God were fulfilled.
The woman whom you saw is a great city, reigning over the kings of the earth.
18. After this I saw another angel descending from heaven and having great power; the earth was illuminated by his glory.
And he exclaimed strongly, with a loud voice: Babylon, the great harlot, is fallen, fallen, and has become a habitation of demons and a haven for every unclean spirit, a haven for every unclean and disgusting bird; for she made all nations drink of the wrathful wine of her fornication,
and the kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth became rich from her great luxury.
And I heard another voice from heaven: Come away from her, My people, so that you do not share in her sins and do not suffer from her plagues;
for her sins have reached heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
Repay her as she repaid you, and repay her twice according to her deeds; In the cup in which she prepared the wine for you, prepare it for her twice as much.
As much as she was famous and luxurious, give her so much torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart: I sit as a queen, I am not a widow and will not see sorrow!
Therefore in one day plagues will come upon her, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned with fire, because the Lord God is strong, who judges her.
And the kings of the earth, who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her, will weep and mourn for her, when they see the smoke from her fire,
standing at a distance from the fear of her torment and saying: Woe, woe to you, the great city of Babylon, the mighty city, for in one hour your judgment has come!
And the merchants of the earth will weep and wail for her, because no one buys their goods anymore,
goods of gold and silver, and precious stones and pearls, and fine linen and purple, and silk and scarlet, and all kinds of fragrant wood, and all kinds of ivory, and all kinds of articles made of costly wood, and of brass, and of iron, and of marble,
cinnamon and incense, and myrrh and frankincense, and wine and oil, and flour and wheat, and cattle and sheep, and horses and chariots, and the bodies and souls of men.
And the fruits pleasing to your soul are no longer with you, and everything that is fat and brilliant has departed from you - you will no longer find it.
Those who traded in all these things, who became rich from her, will stand far away, for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
and saying: Woe, woe to you, that great city, clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls,
for in one hour such wealth perished. And all the pilots and all those sailing on the ships, and all the sailors and all those who traded on the sea stood far away
and when they saw the smoke from its fire, they cried out, saying, “What a city is like a great city!”
And they sprinkled ashes on their heads and cried out, weeping and sobbing: Woe, woe to you, the great city, with whose treasures all who had ships on the sea were enriched: for it was deserted in one hour!
Rejoice in this, heaven and holy apostles and prophets, for God has executed your judgment on him.
And one strong Angel took a stone like a large millstone and threw it into the sea, saying: with such a desire Babylon, the great city, will be overthrown, and it will no longer exist;
and the voices of those who play the harp and sing, and those who play the flutes and blow the trumpets will no longer be heard in you; there will no longer be any artist in you, no artistry, and the noise from the millstones will no longer be heard in you;
and the light of the lamp will no longer appear in you; and the voice of the bridegroom and the bride will no longer be heard in you, for your merchants were the nobles of the earth, and all nations were deceived by your magic.
and in it was found the blood of prophets and saints and of all those who were slain on earth.
19. After this I heard a loud voice in heaven, as if of a large crowd, and they cried out: Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and honor and strength be to our Lord,
for His judgments are true and righteous! for He condemned that great fornicator who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and exacted the blood of His servants from her hand.
And they exclaimed a second time: Hallelujah! And its smoke rose forever and ever.
Then the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God sitting on the throne, crying out: Amen! Hallelujah!
And this voice came from the throne: Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, small and great.
And I heard like the voice of a large people, like the sound of many waters, like the voice of mighty thunders: Hallelujah! for the Lord God Almighty reigns;
Let us rejoice and be glad and give glory to Him; For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.
And it was given to her to be clothed in fine linen, clean and bright, and fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.
And the Angel said to me: Write: blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me: these are the true words of God.
I fell at his feet to worship him; but he said to me: see that you do not do this; I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who have the testimony of Jesus; Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it was called Faithful and True, and He judged righteously and made war;
His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns; He had a written name, which no one knew except Himself;
He was dressed in clothes stained with blood. His name is: the Word of God.
And the armies of heaven followed Him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
From His mouth comes a sharp sword, with which to smite the nations; He shepherds them with a rod of iron, He tramples the winepress of the wrath and wrath of God Almighty.
On His robe and on His thigh is written the name: King of kings and Lord of lords.
And I saw one Angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of the sky: Fly, gather together for the great supper of God,
to devour the corpses of kings, the corpses of mighty men, the corpses of captains of thousands, the corpses of horses and those sitting on them, the corpses of all freemen and slaves, both small and great.
And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered to fight against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet, who performed miracles before him, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image: both were thrown alive into the lake of fire, burning with brimstone;
and the rest were killed by the sword of Him who sat on the horse, which proceeded from His mouth, and all the birds fed on their carcasses.
20. And I saw an angel descending from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand;
he took the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
and he cast him into the abyss, and shut him up, and put a seal over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were ended; after this he should be released for a short time.
And I saw thrones and those sitting on them, to whom judgment had been given, and the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their foreheads or on their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years;
But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection.
Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection: the second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, and gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.
And they went out into the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city.
And fire fell from heaven from God and devoured them;
and the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
And I saw a great white throne and Him sitting on it: heaven and earth fled from His presence, and no place was found for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged according to what was written in the books, according to their deeds.
Then the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and hell gave up the dead that were in them; and every one was judged according to his deeds,
and death and hell were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whoever was not written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
21. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
And I John saw the holy city Jerusalem, new, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a loud voice from heaven: Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them; they will be His people, and God Himself with them will be their God;
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death: neither crying, nor crying, nor pain will be any more, for the former things have passed away.
And He who sat on the throne said: Behold, I am creating all things new. And he says to me: write; for these words are true and true.
And he told me: it’s done! I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end; To the thirsty I will give freely from the fountain of living water.
He who overcomes will inherit everything, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.
But the fearful and the unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone: this is the second death.
And one of the seven angels came to me, who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues, and said to me: Go, I will show you a wife, the bride of the Lamb.
And he carried me away in spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me the great city, holy Jerusalem, which came down from heaven from God:
it has the glory of God: its light is like a most precious stone, like a crystalline jasper stone;
it has a large and high wall, has twelve gates and twelve Angels on them, on the gates are written the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel:
There are three gates from the east, three gates from the north, three gates from the south, and three gates from the west.
The wall of the city has twelve foundations, and on them are the names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.
He who spoke to me had a golden reed to measure the city and its gates and its walls.
The city is located in a quadrangle, and its length is the same as its latitude. And he measured the city with a reed for twelve thousand furlongs; its length and breadth and height are equal.
And he measured the wall thereof to be one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, which is the measure of an angel.
Its wall was built of jasper, and the city was pure gold, like pure glass.
The foundations of the city wall are decorated with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation is jasper, the second is sapphire, the third is chalcedon, the fourth is emerald,
fifth - sardonyx, sixth - sardolith, seventh - chrysolif, eighth - virill, ninth - topaz, tenth - chrysoprase, eleventh - hyacinth, twelfth - amethyst.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: each gate was made of one pearl. The city street is pure gold, like transparent glass.
But I did not see a church in it, for the Lord God Almighty is its church, and the Lamb.
And the city has no need of the sun or the moon to illuminate it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
The saved nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory and honor into it.
Its gates will not be locked during the day, and there will be no night there.
And they will bring into it the glory and honor of the nations;
and nothing unclean will enter into it, and no one devoted to abomination and lies, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
22. And he showed me a pure river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
In the midst of its street, and on both sides of the river, is the tree of life, bearing fruit twelve times, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree for the healing of the nations.
And nothing will be cursed anymore; but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His servants will serve Him,
and they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
And there will be no night there, and there will be no need for a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God illuminates them; and they will reign forever and ever.
And he said to me: these words are true and true; and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants what was soon to happen.
Behold, I am coming quickly: blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.
I John saw and heard this. When I heard and saw, I fell at the feet of the Angel showing me this in order to worship him;
but he said to me: See that you do not do this, for I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers the prophets and with them who keep the words of this book; Worship God.
And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book; for the time is near.
Let the unrighteous still do injustice; let the unclean be still defiled: let the righteous still practice righteousness, and let the holy be sanctified still.
Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his deeds.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the First and the Last.
Blessed are those who keep His commandments, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and enter into the city through the gates.
And outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and fornicators, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices iniquity.
I Jesus sent My Angel to testify to you this in the churches. I am the root and descendant of David, the bright and morning star.
Both the Spirit and the bride say: come! and let him who hears say: Come! Let him who is thirsty come, and let him who desires take the water of life freely.
And I also testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;
and if anyone takes away anything from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the book of life and from the holy city and from what is written in this book.
He who testifies to this says: Hey, I am coming quickly! Amen. Hey, come, Lord Jesus!
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
