That nothing should be brought to the altar that has no liturgical use in the New Testament Church, only bread, wine, incense and oil for lamps.
If any bishop or presbyter, contrary to the Lord’s regulations on sacrifice, brings anything else to the altar: honey, milk or prepared strong drink instead of wine, poultry, any animals or vegetables, contrary to the regulations, let him be deposed. The exception is young grains and grapes, brought at the appropriate time. Let it not be permitted to bring anything other than oil for the lamp and incense to the altar at the time of the holy offering.
