About simony: the ejection and excommunication of clergy who were ordained to the priesthood for money.
If a bishop, or presbyter, or deacon takes possession of this dignity for money, let both he and the one who ordained him be deposed; and let him be completely cut off from communication, like Simon the Magus, by me, Peter.

Εἴ τις ἐπίσκοπος διὰ χρημάτων τῆς ἀξίας ταύτης ἐγκρατὴς γένοιτο, ἢ πρεσβύτερος, ἢ διάκονος, καθαιρείσθω καὶ αὐτός, καὶ ὁ χειροτονήσας, καὶ ἐκκοπτέσθω παντάπασι καί τῆς κοινωνίας, ὡς ὁ Σίμων ὁ μάγος ὑπ᾿ ἐμοῦ Πέτρου.
