World Pharmacist Day: A healthier futuretranslated

World Pharmacist Day is celebrated annually on September 25, with the aim of raising awareness of the appropriate use of medicines and preventive measures against diseases. This year's theme highlights pharmacists' advocacy for a healthier future.

World Pharmacist Day was chosen by the Council of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIF) in 2009, and it has been celebrated internationally since 2010.

The day also reminds the public that pharmacists are an integral part of healthcare systems, often being the first point of contact for health advice and primary care.

"Strengthening the role of pharmacists means giving them the skills, recognition and working environment they need to meet the ever-changing health needs," said Paul Sinclair, President of FIF.

FIF encourages pharmacists to use this day to organize activities that promote and advocate for the pharmacist's role in improving health in every corner of the world.
