Zheleznogorsk priest blessed the cadets to take the oathtranslated

On October 3, fifth-graders of the Zheleznogorsk Cadet Corps named after St. Sergius of Radonezh took a solemn oath, officially joining the ranks of the Russian cadets. The head of the corps, Vladimir Voinov, expressed confidence that the cadets will carry out their rank with honor, remaining faithful to the oath taken in front of teachers, relatives and guests of the holiday.
As part of the event, the traditional ritual of initiating eleventh-graders as graduates took place: high school students received orange berets and officer belts, symbolizing their entry into the final stage of education.
The guest of honor at the event was the full-time cleric of the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in Zheleznogorsk, Priest Alexy Meshcheryakov. Father Alexy congratulated the cadets, blessed them, sprinkled them with holy water and wished them success in their studies, service to the Motherland and spiritual growth.
