The Peaceful Visit of Patriarch Daniil of Bulgaria to the Jerusalem Patriarchatetranslated

On September 25, by the invitation of His Blessedness Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and with the decision of the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Patriarchate (BPC), the first peaceful visit of His Holiness Patriarch Daniil of Sofia and Metropolitan of Bulgaria to the Jerusalem Patriarchate began, which will continue from September 25 to September 30, 2026.

Together with Patriarch Daniil in the church delegation are Metr. Serafim of Nevrokop, Most Holy Archbishop Gerasimus of Melnik - Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod, Protodiacon Dr. Dejan Kornonski, Dr. Alexander Smochevski - Patriarchal Councilor and Translator, and other accompanying persons.

At 17:30, the Bulgarian church delegation was officially received at the Jaffa Gate by representatives of the Jerusalem Patriarchate, after which a procession began to the Church of the Resurrection (Holy Sepulchre). Before the church, in front of the building of the Jerusalem Patriarchate, Patriarch Daniil was greeted by Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem.
