South Urals residents are invited to the international photo exhibition “Our Athos” in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christtranslated

We invite Chelyabinsk residents and city guests to the international photo exhibition “Our Athos” in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. The author of the photographs is Greek photographer Kostas Asimis. For more than 40 years he has been keeping a photo chronicle of the Holy Mountain. A special feature of the current exhibition is that the photographs are presented in the space of a functioning church. Views of monasteries, portraits of monks and scenes of everyday monastic life are perceived here not only as historical evidence, but also as a reflection of the living Orthodox tradition. Visitors will see Mount Athos monasteries, portraits of monks, archival photographs and scenes of everyday life on the Holy Mountain.
