On September 7, on the eve of International Literacy Day, the cleric of the Cathedral of the Nativity of John the Baptist in the city of Yurga, priest Evgeniy Dovgal, visited secondary school No. 14 named after K. It’s good that Father Evgeniy came to the cadet class. The guys in uniform probably listened more attentively to how priests taught children in the old days. In Minsk, too, sometimes priests come to schools, but they rarely talk about literacy, more often they just talk.

Yes, in cadet classes such meetings are especially appropriate - the uniform disciplines, and the guys better perceive the story about teachers-priests. In Moscow, too, priests occasionally drop by to schools, but more often for history lessons or just to talk. Have you ever had a special invitation about literacy in Minsk?

It's good that the priest spoke about the history of Orthodox teachers. A priest once came to my children's school in Gjirokastër and showed them how the old teachers taught the children with psaltery. The uniformed cadets certainly heard it better.

In our country in Burgas, priests also lead the schools, but rarely precisely for literacy. Interestingly, Father Evgeny spoke precisely about the teaching work of priests throughout history - the cadets in uniform must have listened more attentively. And what exactly did he explain to them about the meaning of these concepts, isn't it written somewhere?
