Here in Serbia, it is at least clear that the Church will not interfere in politics, yet it defends the faith when necessary. I am surprised that they are so hesitant in Washington, as if they are afraid of angering someone in Congress. Maybe they should remember that faith comes first, not compromise.

Here in Odesa, the metropolitan also tries to stay away from politics, but when it comes to freedom of belief, he speaks directly, without regard for the authorities. Washington seems to be more afraid of losing grants or something. And Militsa correctly says that faith should come first, not compromise.
