The Peace and Security Working Group of the World Council of Churches Commission of the Churches on International Affairs will present, on 16 July, a webinar on “ The relevance of international law in today's world: untangling the situation in Cuba and Venezuela.”

Webinar will explore relevance of international law in Cuba, Venezuela

In addition to offering perspectives from Cuba and Venezuela, the webinar will explore how the ecumenical movement can make a renewed commitment to international law mechanisms.

The webinar is second in a series on regional trends with global impact and perspectives in the ecumenical movement.

Webinar discussions will serve as inputs for the upcoming Joint Biennial Conference of the WCC Commissions and Reference Groups for Life, Justice, and Peace, to be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 4-10 October.

Интересно, что они берут именно Кубу и Венесуэлу. А как же международное право в отношении блокады или санкций, которые душат обычных людей там? Посмотрим, что скажут на вебинаре 16 июля.

Mă întreb de ce aleg tocmai Cuba și Venezuela când atâtea țări au probleme cu dreptul internațional. Sancțiunile alea care lovesc în oamenii obișnuiți merită și ele discutate clar, nu doar perspectivele guvernelor. O să mă uit la webinarul din 16 iulie să văd ce zic.

Το άρθρο λέει ότι θα εξετάσουν το διεθνές δίκαιο σε Κούβα και Βενεζουέλα, αλλά δεν αναφέρει καθόλου τις κυρώσεις που πιέζουν τον απλό κόσμο εκεί. Αυτό είναι το πρώτο που μου έρχεται. Θα δω τι θα πουν στις 16 Ιουλίου, μήπως το θίξουν.

Što me čudi je što se biraju baš Kuba i Venesuela, a nigde se ne pominju sankcije koje najviše pogađaju obične ljude tamo. To bi trebalo da bude deo razgovora o međunarodnom pravu, zar ne? Videću šta kažu 16. jula.
