On September 13, on the 15th Sunday after Pentecost and the day of remembrance of the faithful Prince Peter, in monasticism David, and Princess Fevronia, in monasticism Euphrosyne, the Murom miracle workers, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. The cathedral clergy concelebrated with the Most Reverend Bishop. During the Divine Liturgy, the Gospel Conception from Matthew (Matthew 22:35–46) was read, which tells about the lawyer who tempted Christ with the question of the greatest commandment in the law. In response, the Savior pointed to the two most important commandments - about love for God and love for neighbor, which contain “the whole law and the prophets.” These gospel words were heard in churches on the day of remembrance of the holy believers Peter and Fevronia, whose earthly life demonstrated the fulfillment of the commandment to love one’s neighbor. Having gone through trials and remaining faithful to each other, they completed their earthly journey in monasticism and are now glorified by the Church as miracle workers and prayer books for Christian families.
