A new issue of the newspaper “Our Kamchatka” has been publishedtranslated

The new issue of the newspaper of the Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka diocese “Our Kamchatka” for August was published. It opens with material about the arrival in Kamchatka of the miraculous image of the Most Holy Theotokos “Tenderness” and the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of Archbishop Theodore of Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka. The newspaper contains information about holding a prayer service in Kamchatka as part of the All-Russian Family Parade on the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, which was led by Archbishop Theodore of Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka. The issue contains reports about the feast of the holy apostles Peter and Paul, patrons of the capital of Kamchatka.

A report on the Military-Patriotic Game “Heirs of Holy Russia”, held on the territory of the Cathedral, was published in the August issue of the newspaper.

The reader will also learn about the missionary work carried out by the diocese. The last pages of the issue contain an interview with Archbishop Theodore dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the St. Panteleimon Monastery, and an interview with the first abbot of the St. Panteleimon Monastery, Hieromonk Anthony (Zhukov).

The issue ends with the “Announcements” section, which tells about upcoming events of the diocese, in particular about the concert at the Trinity Cathedral of the “Artos” choir.

Good thing the August issue is out. I was most interested in the report on the military-patriotic game "Followers of Holy Russia" right next to the cathedral, it's nice when it's done in such a place. And I'm still looking forward to the Artos choir concert in the Trinity Cathedral, I'll definitely go.

I was happy to see that they also wrote about the Saint Pantelimon monastery, especially the interview with Father Antonie, its first abbot. In our church choir, I once sang at a service related to Kamchatka, and I remember how difficult it is to get there. I'll try to find that number, I'm wondering how it was with the Humiliation icon.

The new issue seems useful. I liked that they interviewed Father Anthony (Zhukov), the first who founded the Monastery of Saint Panteleimon, because these days few people talk about difficult beginnings. Also, the report on the “Heirs of Holy Russia” game at the cathedral reminds me of how my eldest son used to participate in similar games in the Hon Church Club. I will try to get a copy.
