The 464th, June – No. 6 in 2026, issue of the publication “Vyatka Diocesan Bulletin” was published.

The issue opens with the material “Teachers of the Universe,” which precedes the holiday of July 12, when the Orthodox Church praises the supreme apostles Peter and Paul, who in the holiday tropar are called teachers of the Universe.

The article about father Nikolay Akishev from Muchin really interested me - he was born in 1877 in a deacon's family and in two days he was ordained a deacon and a priest, that's speed. The bit about Fr Nicholas Akishev getting ordained deacon one day and priest the next really stuck with me. Born in 1877 in that little deacon’s family in Mukhino and then straight into serving – must have been some serious trust from the bishop.
