The meeting about St. Sergius of Radonezh took place in the school librarytranslated

A meeting with the rector of the parish of the Church of the Holy Spirit in the agricultural town of Palace, Rogachevsky district, Archpriest Vladimir Yanchesov, took place on September 29, 2026 in the school library of the V. V. Skryganov Butler Secondary School.
The lesson was dedicated to the life of St. Sergius of Radonezh. Archpriest Vladimir spoke about the saint’s childhood, his monastic path and service to people, and drew the schoolchildren’s attention to the humility, hard work and love for others that distinguished the saint.
We talked separately about the studies of Bartholomew—that was the name of the future saint before he became a monk. The diploma was not easy for him. According to the life, after meeting with the elder and his prayer, it became easier for the youth to study. This episode reminded the children how important it is not to lose heart in the face of difficulties, to try and turn to God for help.
At the end of the meeting, Archpriest Vladimir Yanchesov presented the ninth-graders with small icons of St. Sergius, and donated an image of the saint he painted to the school library.
