Pupils of the “Joy” choir sang at the Liturgy in the Church of St. Nicholas in Moscow | Elista and Kalmyk diocesetranslated

On June 18, 2026, students of the children’s and youth choir “Joy” of the Kazan Cathedral in the city of Elista took part in the Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Pokrovsky in Moscow. The service was performed by Priest Georgy Brylev, assistant to the chairman of the Department for Youth Affairs of the Moscow (City) Diocese, cleric of the Church of St. Nicholas of Myra in Pokrovsky, Moscow, and secretary of the diocesan administration of the Elista and Kalmyk diocese, Archpriest Alexey Grishchenko. Young singers, together with the Youth Choir of the Moscow City Diocese, performed the chants of the service, becoming the central participants in the joint project “From Elista to Moscow: faith, unity, victory.” After the Liturgy, a warm conversation over tea in the church was organized for the students of the “Joy” choir and their accompanying people, where the children were able to share their impressions of the service and meeting their Moscow peers.
