God bless the volunteers. It’s good that we collected exactly what the soldiers asked for - socks, exercise batteries and first aid kits. In our hospital, they also collect such parcels, they always don’t get it, but they were great, they got it done quickly.

In the store where I work, sometimes they leave us donations from customers and I always think that there are more hands needed to pack everything quickly as you say. At your school, do parents usually coordinate with a nearby parish to send them?

Yes, in my parish here in Mexico the parents at my children's school sometimes raise money to buy power banks and thick socks, but they almost never coordinate with the parish, everyone takes charge on their own. I wish they were better organized, because as you say, there is always a lack of hands to pack everything. Have you seen donations of medicines arrive too?
