On August 31, 2026, in Vladikavkaz, at the monument to Archpriest Alexy (Akso) Koliev, Archbishop of Vladikavkaz and Alan Gerasim led a prayer service for the beginning of the new school year. The annual celebration of this service on the eve of September 1 is a good tradition for the ruling bishop and clergy of the diocese, teachers and students of educational institutions in the capital of North Ossetia-Alania. Concelebrating with Archbishop Gerasim was the dean of the Iriston district, Archpriest Konstantin Dzhioev, the secretary of the diocese, Priest Rustik Fenchenko, and clergy from the churches of Vladikavkaz.
