To the glory of God - we passed!translated

September 6, 2026 · 1 min read

I realized that the religious procession had taken place and was a success already at 9.30, half an hour before the official start of the gathering. An endless sea of people walking from the Kitay-Gorod metro station. An endless crowd at the frames. Flags with the Savior. Countless home icons (last year there were few of them, but this time many, very many, thought to come with a home shrine).

A guy in the uniform of the “Kornilov” regiment of the Volunteer Army with a high-flying imperial insignia is walking in a printed step. Remembering the bewilderment of last year, when the flag of the Russian Empire, dating back to the imperial State Banner, was taken away at the entrance, I approached: “Take it off and carry it on yourself, and unfurl it outside the frames.” The Imperial flag was replaced by the Serbian banner. We crossed paths with the guy in the red cap again towards the end of the religious procession, the imperial cap was high on the pole... I saw how last year they bullied the imperial woman at the entrance, so your advice about the Serbian flag is purely correct in everyday life. But the fact that the banner with the New Martyrs was taken away is quite a shame, especially when so many household icons were carried this time. Thank you for writing.

I also saw how last year at the entrance they kept arguing over that imeperka. It's good that you mentioned the option with the Serbian flag, it's simple and works. But why they confiscated the banner with the New Martyrs, I really don't understand - with so many icons brought from home, they should have left it.

Yes, they really messed with the imperial woman last year, I saw it myself. But as for the banner with the New Martyrs, it’s a shame, because just this year there was a sea of household icons, people were clearly getting ready. Did you meet anyone you knew from last year there?
