“Investing in education means determining the future”: Metropolitan John congratulated BelSU on its 150th anniversarytranslated

With the blessing of Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol, on September 25, a solemn event dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the founding of Belgorod State National Research University was held in the concert hall of the MCC National Research University "BelSU". The anniversary evening opened with the concert number “150 years in the history of the country.” The presenters reminded: behind three numbers there are hundreds of events, thousands of names, entire generations. Three words became the leitmotif of the holiday: CONNECTION OF TIMES, CO-being, CREATION. Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Afanasyev presented the staff of the National Research University "BelSU" with a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry, and the rector with a medal "For contribution to the implementation of state policy in the field of education and scientific and technological development." More than twenty university teachers and staff received awards. Metropolitan John began his address to the participants of the celebration with a historical parallel, which explains a lot about the fate of the region.
