This "we blocked sanctions to stop anti-European rhetoric" sounds very strange. If they really want to stop the rhetoric, why don't they start by threatening the just punished Patriarch Kirill? This rather adds fuel to the fire.

Mariana, that's exactly what I thought. Заплахите с наказания against the patriarch Kirill just gives people a reason to get even more angry and talk against Europe. Better to leave the Church alone, instead of making it a political target.
