Memorial evening dedicated to great Russian artists in Ust-Ishimtranslated

July 21, 2026 · 1 min read

At the cultural and educational platform “Our Place of Goodness and Unity,” operating at the district library, a theme evening was held, organized by the rector of the St. Nicholas Church in the village of Ust-Ishim, priest Vladimir Mikhailov. The event brought together parishioners and residents of the area, uniting those interested in Russian art and history.

The meeting was dedicated to the life path and creative heritage of two outstanding masters of the brush - Viktor Mikhailovich Vasnetsov and Pavel Viktorovich Ryzhenko. Despite the centuries-long distance separating the artists, their art is imbued with a common spiritual core and boundless love for the Fatherland. The work of Vasnetsov and Ryzhenko serves as an enduring guide for contemporaries in returning to the original Russian values, the cornerstone of which is the Orthodox faith.

Father Vladimir said that both painters were deeply religious people and true patriots who reflected the ideals of holiness, courage and moral purity in their canvases. Participants got acquainted with important milestones in the biography of the masters, discussed their works, and also had the opportunity to ask questions to the presenter and share their own impressions.
