The Zheleznogorsk Sunday school “Otrada” held a teachers’ meeting before the start of the school yeartranslated

On September 6, a pedagogical council was held at the Otrada Sunday school at the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in the city of Zheleznogorsk. Teachers gathered to discuss final preparations for the new school year.

The meeting was chaired by the school director, dean of the Zheleznogorsk church district, rector of the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael, Archpriest Roman Neshcheret. Teachers approved the curriculum and class schedule for the coming year, and also adopted a plan of main events for the first half of the year. We talked separately about the project that the school won in the “Orthodox Initiative” competition.

An important topic that Father Roman raised was the development of the children's choir. It is proposed that children sing not only during services and at school holidays, but also outside the church - at city events and in social institutions.

Sunday school "Otrada" accepts children from 6 to 14 years old. An organizational meeting will be held for parents on September 13. On the same day, before the start of classes, a prayer service will be performed for the granting of help in studies.
