On September 25–28, 2026, on the eve of the Day of Preschool Education Workers, which is celebrated on September 27, clergy and religious education assistants of the parishes of the South-Western district of the city of Rostov-on-Don congratulated the teaching staff of preschool educational institutions of the Zheleznodorozhny region, with which the parishes cooperate, on their professional holiday.

Representatives of the parishes expressed gratitude to teachers and all preschool education workers for their attentive and caring attitude towards children, as well as for their contribution to their spiritual, moral and patriotic education. The guests were wished good health, patience, peace, creative success, grateful students and parents, and God's help in responsible work.

The Day of Preschool Education Workers coincides with the Feast of the Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, which is one of the twelve holidays.

The date of the professional holiday is connected with the history of preschool education in Russia: on September 27, 1863, the first kindergarten in Russia was opened in St. Petersburg.
