The patronal feast of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral was celebrated in Vyborgtranslated

On August 19, on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, patronal celebrations took place in the Transfiguration Cathedral in the city of Vyborg.

The Divine Liturgy was led by the secretary of the Vyborg diocese, dean of the Vyborg district, Archpriest Igor Aksyonov. Concelebrating with him were the sacristan of the cathedral, Archpriest Vladimir Danilovsky, the cathedral clergy, Archpriest Dimitry Kazakov, Priest Alexander Averkin, Priest John Zatolokin, Protodeacon Evgeniy Oleinikov and Deacon Nikolai Litvinov.

At the end of the Liturgy, the clergy and parishioners made a festive religious procession around the cathedral. Then the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord was glorified and the fruits were blessed.

Archpriest Igor Aksenov addressed those gathered with a pastoral word. The keymaster of the cathedral, Archpriest Vladimir Danilovsky, thanked Father Igor for the joy of praying together on the day of the patronal feast.

The celebration ended with a fraternal meal.
