On September 13, in Ulyanovsk, as part of the celebration of the Cathedral of Simbirsk Saints and City Day, a festival of spiritual culture was held on the territory of the Spassky Convent.
The main event of the festival was a ringing concert with the participation of bell ringers from different cities of Russia and Minsk, Republic of Belarus.
Before the start of the concert, the sacristan of the Spaso-Voznesensky Cathedral, Hieromonk Hilarion (Khrol), read out a greeting from Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky:

Among the heavenly patrons of our land are Blessed Andrei of Simbirsk, Venerable Confessor Gabriel of Melekess, Venerable Martyr Catherine and other new martyrs and confessors of the 20th century. Let us pray to our saints that they will strengthen us in our faith and help us in good deeds; so that they preserve and bless our Simbirsk land and all of us.
I sincerely thank all the organizers and participants of the festival and the festive ringing concert!
The ringing of bells in Orthodox churches has become in Russia a testimony to God and a special, original type of Christian...
