It’s good that we started the school year with such a meeting. “Memory of the Church” is a necessary cause, especially for students. I wonder what topics the Vologda Metropolis chose this time?

I agree with Galina, starting the year with such a meeting is right. In Yekaterinburg, we also sometimes remember the local new martyrs, but I know almost nothing about the Vologda Metropolis. It would be interesting to read what topics they chose this time.

It's good that they started the year with this set. Here in Kragujevac, we also remember the new martyrs, but I know very little about the Vologda Metropolitanate. I'm interested in exactly what topics they chose this time.

It's good that we started the year with this. Here in Kazan we also try to remember the local new martyrs, but I have heard almost nothing about the Vologda Metropolis. Galina is right, I wonder what topics were chosen this time - maybe someone can tell you more?

Хорошо, что начали учебный год именно с Памяти Церкви. And in the seminary they stared at the most recent musicians, and this is deistvitelno помогает students. Interesting, some of them also appeared in the Volgograd metropolis этот раз, может, кто-нибудь расскажет подробнее?

It's good that the new martyrs are kept in your memory in Kragujevac, Marko. This year, in Vologda, they took topics from the time of the civil war and repression in the 20s and 30s, especially the suffering of priests from the Sheksninsky and Cherepovets regions. And in your place in Kragujevac, which new martyrs do you mention the most at gatherings?

I agree, Galina, this is especially important for students - so that they don’t just cram theory, but feel connected to living history. This time, the Vologda Metropolis seems to have taken on themes about the new martyrs and local parishes of the 20s. What do you think, should students focus more on archives or on the oral stories of old-timers?

Yes, here in Kragujevac we most often talk about the new martyrs from Šumadija, especially the priests who died during the communist rule after 1944. For example, we often mention Father Vojislav Radovanović from the Kragujevac area. And as you in Vologda record those stories from the 20s and 30s, do you have any testimonies from local families?

It’s good that Yekaterinburg also remembers its own. This time at the meeting they talked mainly about the Vologda new martyrs of the 30s and how their traces were preserved in local archives. And which new martyrs do you hold in high esteem, Michael?
D
Dušan Stanković
Yes, here in Vologda we also work a lot to collect stories from older people from the surrounding villages. They mostly remember the priests who died in the 30s, and some families still keep the icons and books they hid in the attics. And how do you record those testimonies in Kragujevac - do you record them or just write them down?
