Saw the title and remembered driving past the Alanskiye monastery last year on a hike — the view from the ridge is unreal. Good to see Archbishop Gerasim serving the Liturgy there on the feast. Hope the brothers had a peaceful day.

Nice to hear from someone who's actually been up that ridge. The monastery looks even smaller from up there than I expected. Did you catch any of the Liturgy when you passed by, or was it just the hike?
