On the feast of Saints Peter and Fevronia of Murom, Archbishop Varlaam celebrated the Liturgy in the cathedral church of Makhachkalatranslated

On July 8, 2026, on the feast of the holy faithful Prince Peter, in monasticism David, and Princess Fevronia, in monasticism Euphrosyne, the Murom Wonderworkers (1228), celebrated in Russia as the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, Archbishop Varlaam of Makhachkala and Derbent celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral capital of Dagestan.

The night before, the ruling bishop led an all-night vigil in the Assumption Cathedral.

During the Liturgy, Archbishop Varlaam was concelebrated by the clergy of the cathedral church.

Liturgical chants were performed by the choir of the Assumption Cathedral under the direction of Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Natalya Makeeva.

After reading the Gospel, the bishop addressed the flock with an archpastoral word.

At the special litany, special petitions were offered:

We also pray that your people may keep this commandment: let God unite, let not man separate, and grant their home churches indestructible strength and success in unfeigned love;

We also pray for the preservation of the marriage of Your servants in peace and unanimity, piety and purity;

We also pray that your people will rejoice in the vision of sons and daughters, and that our people will multiply and your blessing will be inherited in them...
