A House of Mercy opened in the village of Sovetskytranslated

On September 4, a House of Mercy opened in the village of Sovetsky, Vyborg District, a hospice for adults, which came under the management of the Vera Foundation. Previously, the institution was under the jurisdiction of the region.

The new work format allows families to stay close to loved ones around the clock. Pain medications are delivered to patients receiving home care at discounted rates.

The founder of the Vera Foundation, Nyuta Federmesser, gave a tour of the hospice for the Governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko. Invited to the opening were the Vice-Governor of the Leningrad Region - Chairman of the Committee for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage Vladimir Tsoi, representatives of local authorities - Valery Savinov with assistants, deputies headed by Dmitry Nikulin, and the chief physician of the Vyborg Interdistrict Hospital Oleg Karasev.

Among those invited from the Vyborg diocese are the chairman of the department for church charity and social service Elena Kosheleva, the rector of the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in Sovetsky, Priest Pavel Shtanko, and the cleric of the Church of the Hieromartyr Ignatius the God-Bearer in Vyborg, Priest Gennady Ponomarev.
