A traditional concert “Music of Joy” took place in Ozerkitranslated

On July 26, the 8th Sunday after Pentecost and the day of remembrance of the holy fathers of the six Ecumenical Councils, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Ozerki.
The service was led by the rector of the church, dean of the Roshchinsky district, Archpriest Dionisy Kholodov, co-served by the parish clergy.
At the end of the Liturgy, with the blessing of Metropolitan Barsanuphius of St. Petersburg and Ladoga, temporary administrator of the Vyborg diocese, a concert “Music of Joy” took place near the walls of the church. The St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra “Classics” conducted by Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Kantorov performed for residents and guests of the village.
The program included works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonin Dvorak, Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Johann Strauss. A special moment was the performance of the Solemn Overture “1812” by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, accompanied by the ringing of the bells of the St. Nicholas Church.
The concert was traditionally held in the open air. The listeners sat on the grass in front of the temple and were able to spend a summer day chatting and classical music. This year the event attracted especially many guests.
