The Day of Family, Love and Fidelity was celebrated at the Oshmyany Resurrection Churchtranslated

On July 8, on the day of remembrance of the holy noble princes Peter and Fevronia of Murom - the heavenly patrons of marriage - a solemn service was held in the Oshmyany Resurrection Church. The holiday, which became a symbol of fidelity and inviolability of family ties, united parishioners in a common prayer for the well-being and strength of their loved ones. The festive prayer service was performed by Priest Sergius Miguel.

On this bright day, the decoration of the church with the help of the sisters of the local Varvara Sisterhood transformed: the church was decorated with daisies - flowers that are traditionally considered a symbol of purity, solar warmth and the holiness of the family union. A special event for Believers began to place on the central lectern the icon “Blessing of the Children,” painted specifically for the Church of the Resurrection.

Addressing those gathered with a sermon, Father Sergius recalled the example of the boundless love of the holy princes Peter and Fevronia and the deep spiritual meaning of marriage. The priest emphasized that the family is not just a unit of society, but a school of love, forgiveness and mutual support.

The daisies from the sisters of the Varvarin Sisterhood looked simple and nice, it reminded me of how we used to decorate our sanctuary in Ostrava. Romashka from the Barbarian Sisterhood are often in play for summer holidays here in Nis, so I'm glad that it's happening again. In our house, we learn forgiveness every day with our son, who is studying, and sometimes while sewing together in the evening. Do you have a special tradition in Niš with pilgrimages for the glory?
