On September 20, 2026, on the 16th week after Pentecost, before the Exaltation, the forefeast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Archbishop Varlaam of Makhachkala and Derbent celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral of the capital of Dagestan.

His Eminence was served by the clergy of the cathedral church.

After reading the Gospel, the bishop addressed those gathered with an archpastoral word.

At the special litany, special petitions were offered. Archbishop Varlaam read a prayer for Holy Rus', performed in all churches of the Russian Orthodox Church with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'.
