MOKITU paid tribute to the victims of terrorist attackstranslated

September 6, 2026 · 1 min read

September 3 is not just a date on the calendar. This is the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism, a day when the entire country stands in a minute of silence, remembering the victims of Beslan, Budennovsk, Nord-Ost and dozens of other tragedies. This year MOKITU (Moscow Regional College of Information Technologies and Management) joined the All-Russian memory campaign, but did it in a special way.

Instead of formal speeches, students met with the guests of honor in an open dialogue format. The conversation turned out to be difficult, honest and very important. They talked not only about the history of terrorist attacks, but also about what is happening here and now. About how each of us can prevent trouble.

From the Volokolamsk deanery, the event was attended by priest Mikhail Polyakov, rector of the Church of the Nativity of Christ in the city of Volokolamsk. His words became a real tuning fork for the entire conversation. He spoke not so much from the position of religion, but from the position of a person who deeply understands the nature of good and evil.

Such meetings leave a deep impression. They translate the abstract phrase “No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten” into the plane of personal action. We honor the memory of those who died not only with flowers at the September 3 memorials. We honor their memory...
