A diocesan meeting of clergy was held in Makhachkalatranslated

On July 22, 2026, at the Spiritual Educational Center at the Assumption Cathedral in Makhachkala, a Diocesan meeting of the clergy of the Makhachkala diocese was held under the chairmanship of Archbishop Varlaam of Makhachkala and Derbent.

Eighteen of the diocese's 21 full-time clergy took part in the meeting.

Also invited to the meeting were the head of the diocesan Department for Culture Natalya Olegovna Makeeva, the head of the diocesan Pilgrimage Service Anastasia Sergeevna Viter and Natalia Nikolaevna Lysova, responsible for anti-abortion activities in the diocese.

The heads of the diocesan Department for Culture and the diocesan Pilgrimage Service presented annual work plans. The diocesan meeting expressed gratitude to the head of the diocesan Department for Culture N.O. Makeeva and the head of the diocesan Pilgrimage Service A.S. Viter.N.N. Lysova was expressed gratitude for the development of the official website of the diocese and active work on anti-abortion activities.

Also N.N. Lysova was instructed to organize a republican-level event by the end of the year with the participation of the ruling bishop, together with the Muftiate of the Republic of Dagestan and representatives of the Jewish community,...
