An annual festive service dedicated to Village Day took place in the village of Kurtayly, Sargat district.

At the site of the church under construction in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, the dean of the Sargat district, Abbot Seraphim (Maksimov), performed a prayer service to the holy great martyr and healer Panteleimon, commemorating the deceased and offering prayers for the health of living parishioners.

Pilgrims from Omsk, Bolsherechye and the Sargat region arrived to share the joy of prayer at the reviving shrine.

Historical information:

The Holy Trinity Church in the village of Kurtaylinskoye (now Kurtayly) was built at the expense of parishioners in 1868. The wooden single-altar church on a stone foundation was distinguished by its spaciousness and strength; 12 surrounding villages were assigned to it. At the church there was a parochial school (since 1890) and two public houses for the clergy. The miraculous icon of the Great Martyr Panteleimon the Healer was especially revered in the church. The church was closed in the 1930s, opened briefly in 1946, and in the mid-1950s lost its chapter and was destroyed. Currently, the brothers Bogachik and Tkachev have transferred the land to the Russian Orthodox Church for the construction of a new church on the historical…

Good to see the mолебен to St Panteleimon on the old church site – that icon was so loved there back in the day. Nice that the brothers Богaчик and Ткачев gave the land back. Hope the new Троицкий храм goes up steadily.
