The forum “St. Luke. Light of personality. Heritage"translated

On September 20, the State Universal Scientific Library of the Krasnoyarsk Territory hosted a spiritual and educational forum “St. Luke. Light of personality. Heritage". The meeting participants included representatives of the clergy, the scientific community, the public and sisters of mercy.

The forum was opened by Elena Nelzina, consultant of the department for nationalities, religions and Cossacks of the Public Relations Department of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In her welcoming speech, she spoke about the importance of state support in preserving the spiritual and moral foundations of Russia.

The report was given by Semyon Kozhevnikov, master of theology, doctoral student at the Siberian Federal University and bibliographer of St. Luke. He revealed to those gathered little-known facets of the life of the saint and his faithful companion, sister of mercy Anna Lanskaya.

The director of the ANO “White Flower of Mercy”, the elder sister of the Krasnoyarsk St. Elizabeth Sisterhood, Olga Korenko, spoke about the living continuation of the traditions of mercy. She shared the history of the origin and formation of sisterhoods in Russia.

The meeting was concluded by the head of the department for social service and church charity of the Krasnoyarsk diocese, Priest Vladimir Plekhanov.…
