On July 9, 2026, on the day of honoring the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in correctional colony No. 5. The service was performed by the rector of the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov in the city of Penza, Archpriest Andrei Polyakov, and the cleric of the Church of St. Seraphim, Protodeacon Nikolai Bogovik. During the Divine Liturgy, the condemned received communion of the Holy Mysteries of Christ. The sermon before communion was delivered by Protodeacon Nikolai Bogovik.

Thanks for the report. It's nice to read that the prisoners had the opportunity to receive communion on the feast of the Tikhvinsky icon. Protodeacon Nikolai Bogovik's sermon certainly gave many people something to learn.
