A charity chess tournament dedicated to the Day of the Baptism of Rus' and International Chess Day was held in the Church of St. Tikhon the Patriarch of Moscow in the village of Krasnoye Pole. Before the start of the competition, bells were rung, and guests were given a tour of the temple. Then participants from Krasnoe Polye, Dolgoderevensky, Bolshoi Balandino and Chelyabinsk sat down at the chessboards. The winners were awarded cups, medals and certificates. The temple noted that chess has long been a favorite game in Rus', so the tournament has become a symbolic combination of spiritual traditions and intellectual development. The organizers thanked all participants for fair play and the warm atmosphere of the holiday. CDRO Chelyabinsk Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. All rights reserved.
